Until now, no female has ever landed any variation of a 1080 on a wakeboard. In 2006 Amber Wing became the first female to land a 720. In 2012 Angelika Schriber became the first female to land a 900. In 2016 Julia Rick made waves throughout the industry stomping the first ever Backside 900. Many speculated if (or more realistically, when) Julia Rick would land a 1080. It almost seems unbelievable that her first 1080 would come from a Toeside Backside rotation, yet here it is. The first ever 1080 landed by a female.
